KOMPOZITOR LTD's profile involves the development and production of resins reinforced with glass, carbon and other high-tensile fibres, which are referred to as composites in the profession. Within this field the company primarily deals with heat and fire-resistant composites. Our development work takes place in four areas at the same time: chemistry, mechanical engineering, production technology and application technology. In the scope of this activity and on the basis of its own patent, KOMPOZITOR LTD. has developed, produces and distributes FuranFlex® chimney lining material.

KOMPOZITOR KFT. is owned by two Hungarian citizens. Number of employees: 35. These include five mechanical engineers, three chemical engineers and 4 technicians, including ambitious young people and experienced older people too.
We communicate in English, French, German, Russian, and, if necessary, in Latin.
KOMPOZITOR KFT. closely cooperates with subcontractors and universities.

ICOPREG Resin-impregnated textile glass fibre produced in the form of a roll (pre-preg). By pressing soft Icopreg at a temperature of 120-140 °C, a 0.3 mm thick fire-resistant sheeting with strength identical to that of steel can be produced. Perfectly binds to wooden panels. EXAMPLES OF USE Fire and impact-resistant sandwich plate (2,5-5 mm) Internal surfacing of vehicles, buildings Composition: Icopereg-Wooden sheet-Icopreg-Coloured paper Fire retardant wooden doors(Thickness: 45-60 mm) In traditional wooden doors 4-6 layers of 0.3 mm thick Icopreg sheeting results in 30-45-60 minutes of resistance to fire. TRANSPOLYM Distance rod between the coil and iron core in transformers. Instead of wooden rods, the material filled into a transformer in a liquid state hardens in a composite form and forms a supporting rod, which is more precise and stronger than wood. |

UNIBASE Liquid for increasing adhesion. Significantly increases the adhesion of paints, resins to any surface. |
REKALORAir-Air heat exchanger. A heat exchanger made of 100% plastic. It can be used between temperatures of -40 °C - +150 °C. Corrosion resistant, favourable efficiency.
CARBOSPREAD MACHINEUnidirectional carbon fibre pre-preg machine. From a carbon cable consisting of 50,000 fibres, this machine makes resin-impregnated, 500 mm wide, unidirectional textile for high-tech composite production.

The foundation of Kompozitor Ltd.
KOMPOZITOR LTD. was founded in 1991. After forty years, the socialist political and economic system was changed in Hungary in the same year. The founding members of KOMPOZITOR Ltd. worked in the then state-owned Plastic Industry Research Institute, in the department dealing with fibre-reinforced resins (composite materials). Research was performed there at a high level in the fields of processes, chemistry, mechanical engineering and industrial applications.
A FEW EXAMPLES OF THE PROJECTS REALISED:
- Machines producing laterally and longitudinally corrugated polyester sheeting
- Machines producing polyester pre-preg
- Resin-catalyst pneumatic feeding machines
- Colour changing peroxide catalyser patent
- Filter made of a composite material for filtering cast iron of a temperature of 1,450 °C
- Construction of composite silos of a volume equivalent to 100 wagons, with a diameter of 10 m
KOMPOZITOR PLASTICS DEVELOPING LTD. was founded on the basis of this professional experience from the above research institute.
FuranFlex® was developed between 1994 and 1998. At this point the first installations took place in Hungary. Mr Thomas Stenquist, the then owner of the Swedish Isokern company provided significant support when he opened the Swedish market for FuranFlex® in 2000. From that point the FuranFlex® technology spread rapidly in Europe.
